What is a Time zone?

The term time zone is used to refer to an area that observes a uniform standard time for legal, commercial and social purposes.

Time zones tend to follow the boundaries between countries and their subdivisions instead of strictly following longitude because it is convenient for areas in frequent communication to keep the same time.

Why You May Need To Change Your Webmail Time Zone.

There are many reasons why one may need to change their webmail server timezone. The fact is that most webmail servers are hosted on shared servers. This means that one server may have hundreds to thousands of hosted domain names each with its own webmail account.

Needless to say is that all these domains will originate from different parts of the world while this one server is located in one physical location with a set time zone. It may therefore be necessary to set your webmail time zone to correspond to where you are located.
