What is URA


URA is an acronym that stands for Uganda Revenue Authority. The Uganda Revenue Authority is a government revenue collection agency established by an act of Parliament of Uganda.

Uganda Revenue Authority is a semi-autonomous agency Operating under the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development.

URA’s Mandate

The Uganda Revenue Authority is responsible for enforcing, assessing, collecting, and accounting for the various taxes imposed in Uganda.
